Chartered in 1994, the Sherwood Rotary believes in helping our community while having fun along the way! Sherwood Rotary is a fantastic way to connect with friends who take action to serve needs in the local area as well as our global neighborhood. Regular meetings are Friday mornings at 6:45am in the Sherwood Senior Community Center (or via Zoom) You are invited to drop by a meeting to get to know some friendly Rotarians.
Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change — across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.
Rotary members believe that we have a shared responsibility to take action on our world’s most persistent issues: Promote peace; Fight disease; Provide clean water, sanitation, and hygiene; Save mothers and children; Support education; and Grow local economies.
We provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.
Rotary is dedicated to causes that build international relationships, improve lives, and create a better world to support our peace efforts and end polio forever.
End polio forever
Rotary has been working to eradicate polio for over 35 years, and our goal of ridding the earth of this disease is in sight. We started in 1979 with vaccinations for 6 million children in the Philippines. Today, Afghanistan and Pakistan are the only countries where polio remains endemic.
